An adjustment is a precise, controlled movement applied to a joint that has stopped moving the way it should. Before anything is adjusted we check how your spine and hips move, where the restriction actually sits, and whether the pain you feel is coming from there at all. The adjustment itself takes a second, and the popping sound people expect is gas shifting inside the joint rather than bone on bone.
Most people notice something change within the first few visits: looser movement, easier mornings, fewer flare-ups. If nothing has shifted after a fair trial we say so and talk through what else it might be, rather than booking you in forever. Every adjustment is paired with a short exercise so the joint keeps the motion it just got back.
